By ordering from Fällkniven AB the customer accepts the company’s terms and conditions. Fällkniven AB can at any time make changes in these terms and conditions. If so, the changes will be published at fallkniven.se and they will become valid from the date of publishing. Fällkniven AB is not responsible for any misprints.
Prices and payment
Inside EU VAT is included in all prices. Outside EU VAT is not included. Orders shipped from Sweden to the countries outside of the European Union may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees upon arrival. These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost. As the recipient, you are responsible for paying any applicable import fees required by Customs and Border Protection or the courier before delivery can be completed. By placing an order, you agree to these terms and confirm that you understand your responsibility for any applicable import charges.
Freight costs will also be added. Orders will usually be processed the same day if they are received no later than midday on business days.
Fällkniven AB has the right to change its prices at any time without notice.
Payment can be arranged via Visa/MasterCard. All transactions are sent encrypted via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). For increased safety we also use 3DSecure.
Important information for US customers
Due to largely increased tariffs for importing goods to the United States, orders shipped from Sweden to the United States may be subject to very high import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees upon arrival. These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost. Please be aware that the customs fees and import costs can be extra high.
Return policy
All customers have the right to regret the purchase within 14 days from the day of receiving the goods. Even if the customer regrets the purchase he or she has to collect the goods and after that return it to Fällkniven AB. If returning the receipt has to be attached. Please contact Fällkniven AB before returning the goods. When returning the purchase, the goods have to be in the same condition as when delivered. Engraved products are not covered by the return policy. The customer is responsible for the return shipping cost and also responsible for any additional costs and customs fees involving the return shipment to Fällkniven AB. Returned products will be compensated with the value of goods.
Warranty
Fällkniven AB warrants to the original owner that Fällkniven knives will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Each new knife from Fällkniven AB is covered by a ten year warranty if the knife is bought from an authorized dealer or distributor, make sure to save the receipt. Buying from other sources will lead to a three year warranty. Knives purchased on the Internet through discount websites are not entitled to our warranty coverage. Fällkniven AB will, without charge, repair or replace at our option, any knife returned for warranty work and found to be defective by us. Warranty matters are always decided by Fällkniven AB, not by your dealer.
The blade tip and edge are parts of a knife that usually are exposed to wear and tear, these parts are not covered by our warranty unless it’s obvious that the damage is a result of a material defect. Only when we have examined the knife we are able to provide an opinion about that.
A knife is a precision cutting tool and should be handled with care and consideration. Light blows on the blade spine (with a branch or small piece of wood) to split tender kindling from a dry, straight-grained pine or similar can be done, for splitting firewood in general, an ax is a correct tool. Note that cold makes all steel brittle. Never pound on the blade spine with any other kind of tool like for example a hammer or a sledgehammer, then you might break the knife. The photos below show the result of incorrect use.
Sheaths and whetstones are not covered by our warranty unless they are apparently faulty manufactured.
Delivery
Most orders inside of Sweden are usually shipped insured and trackable by Postnord. Larger parcels (> 2 kg) or higher value (> 10 000 SEK), will be delivered by an alternative carrier for example DHL or UPS. Worldwide orders are usually shipped insured and trackable by UPS. If the package is not picked up from the post office or failed to deliver and returned to Fallkniven, the customer will be charged with a fee of SEK 500. In the rare event of a missing shipment, Fallkniven will make a claim for a lost shipment with the responsible carrier. Some carriers are eligible for an investigation window of up to 60 days from the date a claim was submitted.
Return Freight in Case of Delivery Issues in the Destination Country (DAP)
For sales under Incoterms DAP (Delivered At Place), the buyer is responsible for all costs and risks after the goods have been delivered to the specified location in the destination country.
If the goods cannot be received, cleared through customs, or delivered due to circumstances in the destination country and must therefore be returned, the buyer shall bear all costs related to the return freight, including any customs duties, handling fees, and re-delivery charges.
Force Majeure
Fällkniven AB is not liable for any non-performance caused by circumstances beyond our control, which directly or indirectly prevents, obstructs or renders production, delivery or freight uneconomical until such obstacle has been removed (force majeure). Such circumstances shall be deemed to include difficulties to procure raw materials as well as other difficulties and disturbances, including but not limited to war, riot, labor conflicts, fire, flood, storm, accident, fuel or power shortages, transportation shortages, obstacles or interruptions regarding transportation at sea and breakdowns or interruptions of any kind as regards to our equipment or facilities, which are deemed necessary for the performance of our agreements’ obligations.
