Description

U2sa is the new collector’s version for 2021 with Sagittarius (the Archer) constellation laser engraved on the right side of the blade. After selling tens of thousands of U2 folding knives, it is easy to understand that this light, extremely sharp folding knife is among our most appreciated products. Among all, U2 is the first folding knife in the world that, since 2004, offers a blade in laminated powder steel and it has really proven to work very well when you demand extreme sharpness. Since 2012, we offer a limited edition of U2 knives with well-known constellations, as below:

2012 U2 Cassiopeia,
2013 U2 Gemini,
2014 U2 Orion,
2015 U2 Scorpio,
2016 U2 Leo,
2017 U2 Taurus,
2018 U2 Ursa Minor,
2019 U2 Pegasus,
2020 U2 Aquarius.

In 2021, it is the U2sa Sagittarius (the Archer) constellation that applies and at least everyone born in Sagittarius’ constellation should now consider acquiring this fabulously light, sharp folding knife. According to Greek mythology, the centaur Chiron sacrificed his life for the titan Prometheus and in recognition, Zeus, the king of the gods, decided to place him in the starry sky as Sagittarius. The stylized sign for Sagittarius is an arrow pointing to the right and a crossbar in the middle, much like a crossbow.

What makes this constellation so incredibly interesting is that here, in the absolute middle of our own galaxy, the Milky Way, there is a supermassive black hole with such a fantastic mass that not even light can pass but is drawn into this huge celestial body, talk about gravity ! The “hole” or whatever you want to call it, does not have such a large radius (well) but the mass is about 4 million times as large as our own sun. Therefore, it is only by observing variations in the X-rays that one finally understands what is in Sagittarius’ constellation.

Our nearest star is our own sun, maybe you haven’t thought of that? When the light from the sun reaches us, it has been on the road for eight minutes. And the light speed is 300.000 km/second. We are far enough away for the existence of life to be possible. What a dizzying feeling!
